I actually hadn't thought about it. Regardless, it's false advertising for GM to call their trucks hybrids when they don't use the electric portions in the drive train at all. It's the same engine that all the other trucks have they just have it tuned better. The Toyota Highlander Hybrid is using electric motors to power the back wheels and they are getting about 6 miles to the gallon better. That is a true Hybrid. I don’t know, I haven’t done that much research on it. I actually hadn’t thought about it. A couple of months ago I so an add for a GMC full size truck, "hybrid." It got a wopping one mile per gallon better gas mileage than the regular trucks, but it had a generator in it that allowed for you to pull regular electric power off of it. I was really dissappointed that they would do that. Toyota/Lexus and all are usually true hybrids, but still you have to look.
